BRANDING - Type Developments

Taking key rubbings and how to develop within the project, looking at the shapes as well as the letters on the keys.

The shapes on the heads of the keys would be an interesting visual to play with, it could become a template for the shape of poster or invitations etc.

Using the rubbings I took the letters from the keys and traced in illustrator to develop a typeface:

When tracing the letters the layout was really wonky, the placement was completely random.
The way it looks could be a fun way to place the letters around the exhibition, having vinyl cut and stuck on the floor or have the text on the posters appear as though it has fallen to the bottom on the page.

• To develop logotype having the title in the typeface might be simple enough to work since the visuals are more interesting than a standard typeface.
• Could be used across the poster, invitations, presentation etc. Need to make sure it's legible for others to read, might be issues with 'D' as it isn't super recognisable.
