Looking at working with 360/VR:
Test 1: https://youtu.be/rhV8muRx2Ks
Not injected with metadata but edited on after effects
- Didn't work as youtube didn't have nay metadata to recognise, so just the after effects VR rendering alone isn't enough.
Test 2: https://youtu.be/ixIHY0ATsNc
Injected with metadata (spherical 360)
- Worked with 360 video, but the video isn't correct due to the panel element added by after effects, however it does create an immersive experience that works well with the motion.
Test in headset
Test 3: https://youtu.be/hPP_PG8bf60
Injected with metadata (spherical 360 and top/bottom layout)
- Worked with 360 video, but the video isn't correct due to the panel element added by after effects, it creates a odd spiral (not as good a previous test).
Test 4: https://youtu.be/IE0igJ5XdzQ
Using the CUBE setting on after effects and injecting with spherical 360 metadata.
- Didn't work as well, super close up, same issues as appeared earlier.
Wanting to achieve a clear VR experience where the audience feels as though they've been transported to another world and the current animations aren't doing that as I don't know how to process the video to do so.
- If this was being done professionally there would be a team able to help, developers to work on the tech so still possible to do for project just wouldn't be able to have a working final outcome.
