Ikki Kobayashi

  • Simple abstract designs, allows the audience to interpret as they think fits.
  • I know the designer is Japanese so some of the imagery could be based around Japanese characters, however the shapes are really well composed and create a deconstructed feel.
  • The simple colour scheme again allows the shapes to be the main focus of the design.
  • Text is minimal, however, due to the placement and simplicity of overall layout it doesn't look like an afterthought.
- Where could this go within own brief and why?
- Test abstracting shapes/number forms (linking back to murakami's aim to eliminate the idea of letters and reading).
