Flag Research and Initial Ideas

• Include bird migration paths, from a quote by Nai Palm(lead singer of Hiatus Kaiyote) she stated that Kaiyote was a made up word, but upon research found it was the name for a worldwide bird appreciation society. Could use migration patterns within the flag.

• Use the idea of taking a panoramic within the flag, could separate the visuals on a band around the flag, could be a pano of a particular view etc.
  - Could incorporate with the gold and have a panoramic section of the flag be in gold.

• The fabric for the flag, think about the materials the artists wear , maybe focus on Jorja Smith more as she hasn't been as present in the design of the sleeve.
  - She wears lots of tartan or check patterned fabric, as well as maroons, velvet, but more recently sports wear has been a common theme. Did a campaign with Nike, (#theforceisfemale) could incorporate or play on this.

Found a video of when she was getting her makeup done before a showe and she was wearing a hat that looked like a shower cap to keep the hair off of her face. - Think about he material and how it could be used, could use shower curtain as a flag? 

Jorja Smith also combines the sports wear with high glam outfits, here performing at the O2 in Brixton in Nike trainers and a sparkly yellow dress - rather juxtaposed.
