Photos of Diorama

The different components to make up the diorama were tin foil background, regular background, floating stars, no floating stars, tin foil on the helmet, no tin foil on the helmet, text on two different light boxes or text on the same light box.

PROCESS:

PHOTOS RESULTS:

Tin foil background, stars, separate text, tinfoil helmet.

tin foil background, stars, separate text, plain helmet.
I found the stars got lost in the tin foil, but also the light was reflected in a weird way off of the tinfoil background. The individual text was difficult to get have held straight since the person needed to hold them, if someone else held the text there would be too much of that person is the photograph.

With no tinfoil the image appeared less aggressive, the lighting was more ombre and the colours can across as more soft. The text together also meant it wouldn't take up too much space on the background, giving the colours space to stand out.

Found the tinfoil over the helmet to be the most successful, it also meant the model didn't have to be a 10 year old boy making it easier to retake the photo if needed.
The lack of texture on the rest of the image may look like it hasn't been considered. When applying text need to think of how to avoid this.

Going too retake the photos but have the model wearing a plain t-shirt, have more stars included on the photograph as well. The lighting can be the same, maybbe try swapping the red and the blue around to see the effect.

To do list:
- take photo with 1. more stars, 2. plain tshirt, 3. swapped lighting.
- design boards (SB2) 1. design development, 2. final production
