Image only Paper Stock

Thinking of which poster design to go with for the final image, peer critiques showed that they felt the high contrast image has more impact as it is bolder and you notice it more clearly. However with this design the image doesn't look as much like a newspaper since the detail of the textured paper is lost.

Ways to solve this:
- Print the original scan, but bump up the contrast to mimic the impact of the posterized image.
- Change the paper stock, e.g. sugar paper, newsprint etc.

When looking for paper stock there wasn't any sugar paper that had a similar colour to the paper newspaper is printed on. The paper that was similar was newsprint, need to think of a way to print on this (printer can't print on newsprint alone).

Stuck newsprint to regular printing paper, it went through the printer well, didn't cause a jam. When printed over the glue the marks could be seen through, but won't make as much a different when pasted onto the billboard. The gloss of the newsprint made the black even bolder.

The difference in paper stock was subtle but the slight off white colour as well as the texture in the newsprint complimented the design and communicated the sense of being a newspaper better than the regular paper.
