Post Crit Developments & Conversation Analysis

Conversation Analysis:

Taken a conversation from a phone call with my stepmum, I analysed the way things were said in the conversation, noting where the pauses were, if letters were stumbled together when spoken.
Trying to develop visuals from this within the test (thinking of Ian Finlay's approach to lettering) alterations to the anatomy of the letters were made as well as layering:

Showing the words being said over each other:

Experimenting showing the stammer around the word what:

Demonstrating the exaggerated sounds within the word 'you':

- The letters weren't as successful as I hoped, they need to be more refined.
- Having simpler alterations such as the rounder counter on the O would develop a simple more subtle typeface.

Categorising words using grammar:

- what to do to develop visuals from this?
- need to develop a colour palette to develop a system.
- think of ways to make the grammer into a shape, sound of the mouth what you sat them, does it remind you of an icon based off of what the word is used for.

I couldn't find a colour palette based off of much since the words were very subjective, so I googled the words and clicked on the first website that came up and screenshot it. Then took the colours from those and developed a colour palette from it.
