Cutting the vinyl for the exhibition was something myself and Rosie Mossop had a role in.
The vinyl for the shop front needed to contain key information for passers by to see, as well as including the Logotype, and zigzag key cut lines.
To have the vinyl stuck on the window everything needed to be in reverse so when stuck down it was the right way around from the outside looking in.
All the images above had to be cut in reverse to stick on the window.
For the inside of the exhibtion a wall vinyl needed to be made to tell people to visit the instagram for further information:
This was cut regularly as it would be placed in the walls of the exhibtion.
When getting the vinyl cut there were issues with the typeface not being downloaded onto the computers in digital print so the typeface was altered to be Helvetica bold, similar in appearance with minor changes to the terminals of the letters.
Once the vinyl was cut it was separated out into manageable increments, ensuring to keep the lines of text together to allow for easy alignment to the window.
The vinyl for the shop floor was cut smaller than expected, making it difficult to remove the excess vinyl before placing onto the transfer paper. If there was more time we would have cut the vinyls again at a larger scale.
