Production Ideas

1. Using the layers of the city as inspiration for the pages of the book. Edinburgh has many hidden vaults and side streets, in the old town in particular. How could this be translated into the book?
 - Could have a section of the pages being smaller than others, creates a raised element.
 - The pages could interlock with each other, or fold out to reveal more information.
 - The pages could be folded and bound at both sides.

2. The pages of the book could be made out of the flyers, but how?
 - Could screen print over the flyers in white or other colours to make the pages of the book.
 - The flyers themselves could be broken down and make into paper, this could present issues with colour as the flyers are all vert different, could make paper brown. Maybe section the pages into different colours to avoid this problem.

3. Using the statistics about Edinburgh to inform the dimensions of the book in a particular way.
 - The depth or the number of pages etc.

4. Have a consistent element throughout the book, as each page is going to have a different feel could there be a contents, that is designed in a specific way which runs throughout in order to 'organise the chaos'.
 - Could be this theme of a route being taken so sort of 'chapter' pages being introduced to direct the audience.
 - The page numbers could be kept consistent within the design to keep the consistency.
 - Could combine with the idea of the vaults to make the small pages inside the book to bookmark different sections or routes etc.
