Animation to VR

Post crit, trying to make animations into a VR experience.

I know you can make 360 videos on Facebook and Youtube, tried uploading the videos as a 360 as they wouldn't upload. Had to google and look on hundreds of websites to make it VR.
Finally found how to upload a regular video to Youtube as a 360 video. It needs to have 360 metadata added to the video for the upload to recognise you want it to be posted as a 360 video.

Made a google cardboard headset to place my phone in in the hopes of creating a VR simulation, it is meant to have lenses however as I haven't purchased the official product mine doesn't have them:

The videos can be found here:

^ This was the first test, I found with the headset it was really difficult to focus on anything that was on the screen as the phone was so close, but also the video was particularly blurry.

Tried again but made the animations smaller so it appeared as if they're further away. Hoping this will make it easier for your eyes to focus on:

But this didn't solve the problem, it was still hard to focus on. Thinking I'd need to alter the way the headset is structured, but this might lessen the effect of feeling as though that is what you're actually seeing.
