Printing Final Book

PRINTING:
A3 will be printed in the studio (apart from images that will be folded over because of the toner that crumbles) - saves money.
A2 will be printed in digital print as it can't be printed anywhere else.

When I did this the A2 pages were a lot lighter than expected, this is because the printers they use in digital print deposit wet ink onto the page. Because the paper wasn't treated for printing the ink soaked into the paper making the colour less intense.

Comparing the two images, one with wet ink printer
(higher contrast), other with dry ink (lower contrast).

HOW TO SOLVE THIS:
-If printed in industry use treated or coated paper for optimum effect, cannot source this anywhere in time for deadline so would be something I'd do if the project was extended and I had more funds.
- For the project need to see how opaque to make the black text for it to print similarly to the digital print.
- For the images in the project need to reprint on a different paper stock that is treated, as some need to be printed on A2 (and studio printers don't print this size), and others fold across the centre so need to use a printer that doesn't use toner to avoid the ink crumbling off the page along the fold.
