Use of prompts is interesting, it will help with a block I've been having at the moment. Feel they could provide a sense of direction and purpose for the project.
- Need to think about how they could be incorporated.
DIY Aspect
- Made me think about the Joe Gilmore brief, experimental, physical gone digital processes. Photocopying, scanning, collage etc.
- Could do own film photography? Develop self at home potentially.
How will prompts be used with different mediums?
Books:
> Wanting to make people aware of their bodies when looking at or interacting with art.
Could have prompts like "sit down", "stand up", to get the audience to move their body, becoming involved.
Mocking this up (pages):
Then printed:
The results were really nice, some of the directions were off but the overall concept is strong, and successful.
- like the border despite having no choice other than to have one as I'm working from home.
- photo quality isn't great either, needing to have another option.
Think this is heading more in the right direction, just need to keep pushing it, trying other aesthetics as well as mediums.
Feels appropriate to get the audience involved with the publication, presenting them with their own reality. Almost feels like a prediction.
What could be improved?
- More consideration can go into the aesthetic, the minimalism of it is effective but could do with more experimentation first.
- Quality of photos, having them be taken somewhere other than my room would be good.
