The Design Museum - Designer, Maker, User

The exhibition was really interesting, it presented information about design through time, how it's changed with technology as well as to what best purpose it would be.

The exhibition consisted of nearly all product design, there was very little about other elements of design. It was a really interesting exhibition, I learnt how tennis balls were made and the processes of building 3D furniture.

I've taken photos of some of the info boards, they presented some interesting question into the role of design, as well as what made 'good' design. Interesting topics that I had been wondering throughout my study.

I felt the exhibition placed has a lot of good questions that sparked an interest into the application and deliverables of graphic design. I responded in a similar way to this exhibition as I did to Lucienne Roberts Talk last year, as well as Pali's talk earlier this week.

Made me think a lot about the application of design, and making things with the consumer/audience at the forefront otherwise you will fail in what you're wanting to achieve. This is something to bare in mind throughout 505 as well as COP.
- Why am I making what I'm making?
- Who am I making this for?
- What do I want to communicate?
- What is the most effective way of doing this?
^ All questions I should be asking myself throughout 505 (as well as COP practical).
