Distribution
> How you put the idea out there.
> Distribution is the exhibition, accompanying publication and digital platform.
> Hot to distribute the message to meet the audience's needs.
Learning Outcome
> 5B5
- Critical awareness
- Every element of the design process thinking about how the audience will interact with it. are there issues with understanding it etc.
- Tech concerns, can people access the digital aspect, if not I have a physical one etc.
- Need to show how your message is reaching your audience.
- Analysing your decisions to meet your audience.
> 5A8
- What's the most appropriate way to distribute the message.
- What was good about the book, what did it lack in?
- Demonstrate an understanding of potential limitations.
- What's working, what didn't work and why? Answer these.
Own Work:
> Positive response to the aesthetic of the work.
> Visual consistency is is strong across the platform.
> Don't need to have the interventions be consistent, can't fold on a screen.
- What should be consistent is the sense of control, bringing attention etc.
> Movement of the mouse on screen is the folding in a book.
- Different elements of control is positive.
> The adding of arms with type makes it a lot more about the type, good way of understanding type rather than bringing attention to the body.
- Could use the highlighted elements within the design.
> Moving clicking might not need to be dramatic, it could be breaking the rules of how we look at a screen.
- Looking in bringing attention to the areas you normally don't look in, breaking the way we navigate a website traditionally.
- Thinking about positioning, eye movement etc.
> Publication, need to think about how it works at the exhibition as well as at home.
- Should work as a stand alone publication as well as at the exhibition.
