Photographs of Eyemask

In a park

- Common place for people to breastfeed.
- Doesn't present itself as being so public since other people are seen in the photograph.
- The inclusion of nature does present the person as being outside, but not public.

flat lighting and close up.

zoomed out shop, presenting the whole image, but doesn't communicate as well since I didn't have access to a model who is breastfeeding. Also the text wasn't easy to read since it was so far away.

Communicating the sense of breastfeeding with the angle of the models head.

trying to incorporate the viewpoint of the audience into the poster as well as have less of the wall included.

In millennium square:

- more public space, has more people walking around so looks more exposing.
- demonstrates the difficulties of being in a busy city centre.

Having the model in the centre allows the text to be the focal point. Would need to consider where any external text would be place, and how it would interact with the composition.

The inclusion of the blanket helps communicate the topic of breastfeeding as it provides more context and ultimately more intrigue.

Again experimenting with angles of the camera as well as the models head to see the impact on the photo. Ultimately this made it difficult to read the text on the eyemask and detracted from the message.

  • The inclusion of the blanket was beneficial as it helped to eliminate some of the restrictions in place since I didn't have access to a women willing to breastfeed and be photographed.
  • The photos taken in Millennium square were most successful at communicating a sense of being in public since there were lots of people walking around as well a various buildings, pubs, restaurants etc.
