Text Tests in Context

TESTS WITH ALL TEXT THE SAME SIZE AND SMALL ALTERATIONS TO QUOTES:

This was how the text was originally laid out in some tests. Wanting to have a sense of continuity through out the book to keep it looking professional.
However it makes the images the focus and reduces the impact on the audience, isn't overwhelming at all. Couldn't have the text bigger because of the different page sizes, means each page would have different type - test this.

EXPERIMENTING WITH CONDENSED TYPE OVER WHOLE PAGE:

This works really well at presenting the sense of chaos people feel walking around Edinburgh during the Fringe. It bombards the audience with information which is a strong aesthetic to have for the publication.

May appear too invasive rather than bombarding, is this due to the weight of the type? Is it the typeface? - think of other ways around this and test it.
