Cover Embossing. 2

Re-thinking the cover of the book. It looks very disconnected to the indies pages. The cover can be a traditional in paper stock and hard back but the type could hint to the inside of the book. Used Furtura on the outside bu experimenting with an arrangement that was similar tot he inside:

Final decided piece is:

It communicates the playful nature of the inside of the book. When embossed it will also fit along the these of the traditional cobbled streets, especially with the way the letters t]have be tessellated around each other.

When embossing the paper need to be cut to a size that could cover the entire book, when soaking the paper in the water I only soaked the half that was going to be embossed. There were a could of issues with the paper ripping ever so slightly in the counter of the 'e'. However, when I spoke to the technician they said there wasn't anything that could be done to prevent it.

Once the paper had dried it was very warped, so I dampened the paper and placed it between 2 blotting sheets and placed weight on the top. I left it to dry overnight and when I came back the paper was flat again.
