Brief of the Week 1.5

Mock up:

Mistakes within the mock up:

  • Some of the text is on the images.
  • Still some crinkling on the tracing paper.
  • Co-ordinates on the front cover are too large and bold.
  • Text on the blurb is also too large.
Tested printing the tracing paper on a xerox printer and that didn't crease the paper.
I altered the illustrator files as well so they would fit to the new design better.
Altering the front and back covers accordingly to fit the design decisions made, smaller text for coordinates as well as on the blurb.

Thinking about the Bind:
- Pamphlet stitch binding the centre together, think about the thread to bind, lni suggested twine as would match the overall aesthetic of the book.
- Stapling together for the bind, more easy to be mass produced.
- Singer stitch, had a similar aesthetic to sewing my hand but is able to be mass produced (happy medium between hand sewn and staples).
