Developing on the type of statements, thinking about incorporating more of the scaling element to the typeface.
Using a variable typeface to have a variety of condensed/wide letters. Using the bold typeface it demonstrates an inch better, I relate an inch to being wide as. my default measurement brain thinks in cms.
First looked at changing the condensed-ness of the type first:
Tested Animating these as a kinetic typeface, thinking along the lines of Roberto Warner, and in response to Kristen's comments.
There were issues with the S shape and the P, I think it's because of the curve, but wanting to get an animators imputes as to how this could be avoided if possible.
Then looking into having more of a variety within the letters, changing the weight as well:
And again, placed these into an animated format:
The results were ace when they worked, it added a motion to the scaling aspect of the project, brought the idea to life more.
It would need work to be effective though.
Even though the impact is effective at communicating the scaling idea, it doesn't educate the audience, it doesn't make any sense when it's alone.
Thinking about what Kristen suggested and taking it into combination with the publication idea.
