- Looking at exhibition pieces from different angles, face on, from the side etc. Get a different idea for the media used.
- For exhibition can design the branding, typeface designed by the way we read etc? Design a map as well.
- Could design small elements for the exhibition, key notes, brand etc. Feel as though this wouldn't be enough, want to design a publication to accompany the exhibition, potentially translate to the screen based design.
- Thinking back to previous crit ideas for website. - Could use arrow keys on website to move to a fixed point on the screen, restricting the movement of the website.
- Really like this idea, the sense of direction could be something really interesting to play around with on screen. - Response to pandemic style interventions, rules/guidance of where you can and can't stand was positive. People felt is was appropriate and still had room to be adapted to suit the environment more.
- People really liked the fold pages of the catalogue felt as though it was effective in 'solving' my issue.
- I agree, I think this piece of development was really strong in bringing attention to the body. - With circle cut outs Helena wasn't sure if having key elements of the image being removed was a problem.
- I felt like having large elements of the image removed took away from the purpose of the catalogue, it could be okay but would need to have a clearer idea of what the purpose of the publication is. Is it to inform? Create a second perspective? etc. - People picked up on the fact that the circles don't bring attention to the body. Zoe mentioned this and I also stated it on the slides of my work.
- Thinking about the book as a body. In a book you have the spine, headers, footnotes etc. Potentially have elements that make you bring attention to different parts of the body.
- Really cool idea, definitely something I can experiment more with. - Emily mentioned adding things to solve the problem of information being removed, such as stickers etc.
- Thought this idea was cool, maybe not adding stickers but being able to fill in the information somehow. Could hold up the book with the cut out circles in the exhibition to fill the gaps, or could this be translated onto the website? - Response to colour was that I should definitely give it a go and see where they could exist within the project. Try and see what adding colour will do.
- The catalogue could have different versions, so e.g. 5 people allowed in the exhibition at at time so each person has a different catalogue they could have different instructions on how to be in the exhibition and this become a performance piece.
- Really like the idea of getting the audience involved in some way, having them become a piece of performance art.
- Not sure if I'd want it to be as instructional, perhaps the directions given could be enough to develop a rhythm of movement among the crowd?
- Something to experiment with and think about going forward for sure!
