Looking into the idea of cutting circles out from the pages so you can see through to the next page, suggested in crit as another way to explore interactivity as well as fitting in with the circle standing points on exhibition floor.
1. Images and text on both sides of the page:

> Really like the effect the cut outs have, some spreads are more effective than others.
- Having the cut outs reveal a full image is the most effective. Could do with more consideration to where the cut outs go in order for this to happen more.
- Striking the balance between having the images large enough for them to be cut through and not ruined but then not too large to overwhelm the works.
> Some images ended up with large circles removing the important information (6) and (7). Takes away the purpose of the catalogue.
- Again more consideration into the placement of the cut outs would be beneficial to retaining the message of the works.
2. Cut outs with images on single side:

> Much more simple, it gives the work room to breathe due to the white space, feels less hectic and overcrowded than the first test.
- certain spreads such as (7) work nicely as the image is much larger, covers more area.
- (5) also works really well as both circles have images peaking through.
> Feel as though a combination of these needs to be done to achieve the desired effect, keeping things more minimal such as the second piece (allowing the images to be viewed as they are so they can be understood) but with more going on behind the other circles that have been removed.
Does this bring attention to the body of the audience?
> I'm not sure if it does, it is an intervention that stops the image from being seen how it normally would, but I don't think it brings attention tot he body. You still look through it like a normal publication.
> More would need to go into it to get you to figure it out, interact with it more.
- What could this be? Could the circles be placed where you would normally touch the books? Going back to original primary research:
- Or where people looked first like other primary research:
> Having more context for the placement of the circles may be more effective, it will provide a more noticeable disruption, potentially be more effective in bringing attention to the body.
