Where to go From Crit? Element Clarification and Exhibition Development

Crit was very positive but I had a lot of new ideas and proposals.
I need to test things quickly and see if they work.

1. Exhibition
> Need to make mockups:
  - Circles on the floor, dictating where people can stand
  - Rule and directions before entering (feel as though from this the audience could become a piece of performance art themselves).
  - Where will the work be?
  - Book interacting with the exhibition (can mock this us with circle idea).

2. Publication
> Is the book going to be involved with the exhibition or separate?
  - Could have a prompt book for the exhibition, be more of an interactive works.
  - Receive a catalog when you leave
= Could these ideas be combined into one?

3. Screen
> Will the screen be an online version of the exhibition?
> Will the screen be a website providing information on the exhibition but employing the techniques found through mockup and publication?

Exhibition Layout:

- Thinking about the use of circles to direct people around the exhibition (reflecting on my own experience in pharmacy).
- Wanting people to only be able to stand on the circles when looking at the art, there would need to be rules displayed for people to follow.
- Should the circles be placed randomly around the room or specifically in front of individual works?

Layout with partitions, feels more closed off, thinking the striped area could be an interactive area with an activity to engage the audience, or projecting a video explaining the movement?
- Went with orange circles from the Door to Door publication, don't know if it feels childish?
- Placement is random, circles are dotted around all over the place.
- Feels as though it hasn't been considered, rushed, and needs more thought.
- Really difficult to visualise how the exhibition would look when looking at this mockup.

- Different layout, having a single partition in the centre of the room, this way more people can see the behaviour of others in the room.

- Circles placed in front of the work, feels more effective for the context of the exhibition.

- Again still difficult to visualise due to the way the mockup is projected.
- Grey circles look a lot less childish than the orange circles.

Made a more in-depth mock-up of the exhibition by sketching out a section of what it could look like.

- Much easier to see how things would work out.

- This is visualising the second mock-up with one partition. I think this is the best one to go with, would be more open, could see other people's behaviour etc.
- Circles are simply outlines on the floor, clean and effective.

- Playing around with colour and layout.
- Looks very childish, reminds me of the tweenies from CBeebies with the different coloured circles. Maybe te colour could be incorporated elsewhere in the project, or a simpler colour palette could be used.

- Same layout with black circles, keeping things simple.
- Feel like the exhibition should have an intervention the audience can participate in other than walking where directed. Perhaps stickers like the Rodina?

- Black felt very minimal, not very interesting. Tested blue (like the earlier stage of the project on the website mockup) and this made the exhibition have more life to it.

- Perhaps a simple colour palette of black white and blue could be implimented into the project?

^ From the Rodina
> Something similar to this could be really interesting to have in the exhibition.
 - Maybe all the items in the exhibition are black and white and the audience had to place blue stickers within it?
 - Feel as though this resonates with the fluxus movement but in a contemporary manner.
 - Maybe audience could place a sticker where they first look in the exhibition, thinking back to previous research conducted at uni.
